DeakinLock Garden and Landscape Design 

deakinlock is the professional practice of leading independent landscape and garden designers, Chris Deakin and Jason Lock.  The company is based in East Anglia but works on landscape and garden designs throughout the UK and overseas.

deakinlock was established in 2008 by Chris and Jason, both formerly of Notcutts Landscapes.

Chris and Jason’s vision for deakinlock is to offer their clients inspirational garden design of the highest standard. They enjoy creating beautiful, stimulating spaces that are individually tailored to suit each client and location.

Chris Deakin, MSGD, was head designer at Pantiles Landscapes in Surrey prior to working with Notcutts. During his time at Pantiles, he worked on many gold award-winning gardens at both Chelsea and Hampton Court, gaining the Tudor Rose ‘Best in Show’ in 1998.

In 2001, Chris was awarded full membership to the Society of Garden Designers (MSGD) and received the Association of Professional Landscapers’ Supreme Award in 2005.   Chris was recently elected to the Council of the Society of Garden designers.

Jason Lock, MSGD, has worked in the garden design industry for over 20 years, becoming a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers in 1994.  During his career he has been Chairman of the Association of Professional Landscapers and was recently appointed as their Chief Executive.  Whilst working for Notcutts, Jason worked on a number of garden design projects which won national awards, including 10 Chelsea Gold Medals.

Whatever the style of garden, from ‘contemporary urban’ to ‘rural idyll’, Chris and Jason show flair for strong design and creativity, as well as an acute attention to detail. Their horticultural expertise and practical landscaping skills, combined with their passion for the business, has created a formidable and successful partnership
