Salthouse Hotel, Neptune Marina, Ipswich, Suffolk

The Hotel wished to develop the old car park into a garden that would grace the beautiful old Hotel building and the historical architecture of the quay. The garden is to provide a relaxing, sheltered area for guests to enjoy and drink and the superb views over the harbour.

The scheme created a series of angles in which the guests could find a secluded space to sit and relax. The Feature walls, finished with a natural stone cladding, provide a warm, textured backdrop for the sculptured water-features.

Mature planting, with specimen trees soften the surrounding, buildings and adds a variety of greens and other natural colours into the industrial landscape.
