Site Description
The garden was developed as part of a new house build project and was designed to provide an extension of the interior outside.
The garden enjoys wonderful views over rolling countryside and the design exploits this by carefully framing views and bleeding the new garden out into the landscape beyond.
High quality sawn granite paving provides a clean, stylish terrace in a silver grey which helps cool this hot, sun trap. The paving is dissected by bands of hardwood decking which provide a sense of direction and separation within the larger space.
The terrace space is further broken up into smaller spaces with bands of textural planting, creating semi solid / translucent screens.
The terrace leads onto a large open lawn, providing much needed space for family games and sports.
