Old Chapel - Woodbridge, Suffolk

Project Type: Small Garden Design
Location:Woodbridge, Suffolk
Aspect: South Facing
Soil: Light Loam, originally in poor condition

Description
This Garden was created as an extension of the internal living space for this fantastic conversion of an historic building.

The garden reflects the simplicity and style of the interior and ensures that the garden space appears larger and uncluttered. The natural, sawn paving is light in colour and clean in finish to open out the space.

The fireplace acts as a focal point when viewed from within the property and as the heart of the garden when outside.

Elegant Hornbeam trees and clipped box hedges provide the garden with strong shape and form and their lush green foliage provides a cool relaxing base to the overall colour scheme.

Drifts of grasses provide soft texture and movement within the planting in contrast to the solid form of the hedges.

Cedar-wood trellis provides an attractive framework for climbers to scramble and also hides clever storage areas behind.

This garden was featured in the East Anglian Daily Times
