Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Existing FeaturesThe site presented many problems, not least, careful management of the ground levels and drainage. The existing copse was to be maintained which meant the new drive would pass through this established area of the exterior.
To create a new drive and approach to house while accommodating a secondary drive to service the garages and a rear drive shared with a neighbouring property. Mature Lime trees and box pruned limes were planted to create the formal section of the drive close to the house creating a timeless elegance befitting the grandeur of the historic property. We designed and commissioned bespoke gate pillars to complement the period of the house and provide a wow factor entrance to the new approach.
The project was an eighteenth month collaboration with the client and Stewarts Landscapes to create a memorable and award-nominated garden.
